Quacky version 8 (Quick Quack)
8 (10.19.2010) They changed the window size this morning. Easy fix. Thanks for letting me know, Tom and Tina.
7 (5.18.2009) Added a checkmark option Only Rainbows for various future and past challenges. Yep, you can now have 6-7 rainbow streaks per game (over 200 per hour)! Thanks for the suggestion, Amanda.
6 (4.10.2008) They changed the rank Ok button, so the auto was stalling after each rank advancement. While I was in there fixing that, I updated Quacky into the latest shell (auto-updates, doubly fixed, Control key pauses, smoother, etc.) I also decided to expand the Quackier option into a slidebar. It's now known as Ducks at once and allows you to choose how many ducks you want to click instantly from your current streak. Example: if all 8 ducks showing on your screen are in a legal streak, you can have the auto click them all at once instead. This explodes groups of ducks instead of picking them off one at a time and truly speeds up your game. Note: if you need large, continuous streaks I recommend keeping Ducks at once on just 1 and slowing your game speed way less than 100. Slower is smarter in this game, as it allows the auto to correctly read the ducks that pop in and out of there and gives you a better chance at keeping the streak alive. But it's quite hilarious to watch this neat option work those duck explosions and finish both rounds (200 ducks) in just 45 seconds. Just when you thought Quacky couldn't get any faster... hell, it's now almost twice as fast as the last version!
5.4 (1.29.2006) After numerous public beta version 4's and others besides, I am hoping this will be it for a while. It's possible that older operating systems may not like it, but I will work with you guys separately. The Streaks option can be understood best by increasing the Speed setting to full 100. You will see that it instantly clicks 4 in a row, a quicker streak since it already knows those 4 will not change and future ducks will not be arriving yet. This checkmark is also intended to help those that are experiencing jerky or "poor intelligence" by giving you another route for Quacky's speed. If this auto is not performing up to standard, slow it down. That's the bottom line. Watch it play at turtle speed of 0, if you need to prove to yourself that Quacky is not only smooth, but it's also smart as a whip when you allow it to be. Find the java platform that your computer (read the FAQ) likes best and locate the speed that maximizes the outcomes you seek.
4 (1.24.2006) It's back. They had changed something minor. And since I had to go in there, I updated it to the new shell. This shell automatically includes the SHIFT key additional pause, minimizing any award or badge window that may appear, Doubly's double browsing detection with speed control, full game speed control, Snoozy's extra napping options, built-in desktop camera snapshot, keep chat alive toggling, and other minor conveniences. On this one, the duck animations fight when crossing java platforms, so I would recommend using Sun in both Firefox and IE (and turn down both speed options if necessary). Read the older version paragraphs below this one for further help in reducing java sticks ("ANIM" and no sound). Again, I tried to quicken Quacky in every possible way. It became faster, sure, but still clicked way too many extra times to be worthwhile.
3 (11.20.2005) So many changes. Where do I begin? Speed, speed and more speed. The bursts option is now useless, so it was changed to the standard "Game speed" option and all burst code was removed. I guarantee that if you choose the slowest speed setting just to watch its amazing intelligence, Quacky will make a move that you questioned in your head and then you will smile with delight when you see that you were wrong. Very important: be sure to raise your speed setting if you had used a previous version of this auto, as it will use your old burst setting (super slow "0" or "1"). Also, please note that this is one of those autos that speed can hamper the intelligence. Why? Because you are clicking faster than the new ducks can arrive, which makes the auto unaware of ducks that could have been used for a better shot. This is not my fault, of course. So just slow the auto down to a speed of 75 or less if you want the intelligence maximized for the longest streaks. Some of you may prefer winning quickly instead, and the choice is now yours. What else? The Quacky window itself now changes color according to the shots. I fixed the "No prize" stall at the end. The SHIFT key pauses this auto now, which became necessary after the warp speed that it was given. The king duck error has been fixed! The multi-colored ducks error has not only been fixed, but is now used in the intelligence properly! The file size only increased 8k and I could recommend doing their "ANIM" trick to smooth things up (you might as well turn off your game's sound while you are at it). And to the best of my knowledge, neither java platform seems to better than the other. Thanks to everyone that contributed pictures and error knowledge. Be sure to inform me if we are going to need a version 4.
2 (11.16.2005) The wild issue has been fixed. Also, I rearranged some things when choosing your prize after a round. Quacky seems to be smoother using the MSVM java platform (instead of Sun), so I recommend disabling your Sun java if possible. If you are wondering what "6 streak" means in the Quacky window, it is simply showing the best streak currently possible for your 8 lower ducks. The higher the maximized streak found, the better chance your game has in surviving its current running streak. And lastly, I included a "Speed bursts" option to make things a little faster. Checkmarking this option will have Quacky click numerous ducks at a time instead of just one, but only if you have some good ducks down there (more than a 5 streak available)!
1 (11.16.2005) Quacky has quite the maximized intelligence, forcing 100+ runs very often. I implemented the fastest speed the animations could handle without causing improper play. I will be going back in after the Battle Phlinx release to hopefully make a couple of things smoother. File size is a stunning 100k. Quacky is definitely the fastest and smartest auto for your Quick Quack badges. I am aware of the auto stopping periodically (wilds) and a few other minor discomforts. Expect a version 2 update by this evening or even midnight.
